Composition Notes
Composed in 2018 following several deep spiritual experiences, this work uses the theme from Lowell Mason’s (1792-1872) popular hymn, “Nearer, My God, To Thee”, to take the listener on an incredible musical journey. Through a series of variations and transformations, the music tries to capture the majesty, joy, and peace of being in the presence of God.
