Composition Notes
“I Send You” is a heartfelt Christian song inspired by Matthew 25:31-46, where Jesus speaks about serving ‘the least of these.’ This song is a conversation between a believer and God. The believer cries out, asking why there’s still so much hunger, thirst, homelessness, poverty, sickness, and crime. God responds—not once, but three times—reminding the believer that we are called to be His hands and feet in this world.
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40
On June 30, 2025, before starting work on this song, I spent some time praying to God to request His help as I felt a bit overwhelmed by this project. I wanted this piece to be special – something that would really impact people. After reading the verses from Matthew, I sat down at my piano and the lyrics just poured out. I knew the Holy Spirit was at work because I couldn’t have come up with the entire song on my own so quickly. As I played and sang through the lyrics, I began to realize the deep meaning behind the words. By the end of the day, the lyrics and melody were completed. I then worked on the full arrangement over the next few weeks in my spare time. A final recording was released less than a month later.
