Composition Notes
A year after the death of his father at age 15, Michael Maw composed his first String Quartet (subtitled “The Dreamer”). He had always envisioned the second movement being played by a full string orchestra. So, over two decades later, he set to work and finally completed the new arrangement in 2023.
